The Original New Testament

A magnificent and most elegant Byzantine Sticherarion from the year 1445, written by an important teacher of the art of chant and accomplished scribe, Gregorios Bounis Alyatis, as he himself testifies in the colophon (fol. 357v). It is well preserved. Binding of brown leather and wooden boards with stamped decoration. A very clear, elegant and carefully executed script. Red embellished headpieces and initial letters with occasional sketches of saints' heads.
